Minimal arrives unfinished, ready to paint on site, at 2,796 RON incl. VAT. Signature arrives factory-painted in a RAL colour, at 3,693 RON incl. VAT. What sets Minimal apart from Signature

The shared point matters before any comparison: the structure is identical. Both use the same extruded aluminium frame that will not swell in humidity, the same mineral wool core for acoustic insulation and the same concealed jamb set into the wall. You pay the 897 RON difference purely for the finish, not for a structurally better door.

Minimal ships primed, with the surface prepared for painting. You finish it on site, in the same pass as the walls, so it takes the exact paint tone of the room. Signature arrives fully painted in a RAL colour of your choice, applied in an industrial booth with controlled drying.

When to choose Minimal

Minimal makes sense when the site is still active and the painter is passing through the room anyway. You then paint the door in the same pass as the walls and get a perfect tone continuity, because it is literally the same paint. When to choose Signature

Signature is the choice for turnkey handover, when you no longer want finishing labour on site. The door arrives professionally painted, with a uniform coat applied in a booth, free of brush or roller marks. It is the right model when you renovate a single room in an already occupied home, where you cannot bring in a painter just for one door.

Total cost: not just the door price

The catalogue gap is 897 RON, but the right decision is made on the total project cost. With Minimal you add painting labour if you do not do it yourself: a painter charges between 150 and 350 RON for one door, plus the paint. Finish quality: site vs paint booth

A real question is whether on-site finishing reaches factory quality. The honest answer: on a flat surface like the filomuro door, a good painter with a fine foam roller gets a result very close to the factory. The difference appears in durability and uniformity, where the booth-applied coat with controlled drying lasts better over time. If the finished surface matters enormously, as in a home handed over turnkey to a client, Signature is the safe investment.

Can I paint the Minimal filomuro door myself?

Yes. The surface arrives primed and prepared, and a fine foam roller plus the wall paint are enough. You apply two thin coats, with drying in between. If you want a flawless result without experience, a painter does it in 1-2 days.

Which RAL colours are available for Signature?

Signature is painted in any colour from the standard RAL palette. You choose the exact code before production and the door arrives in precisely that shade. The most requested are RAL 9010 white and grey tones, but made-to-order production accepts any code.

Is the 897 RON price difference worth it for Signature?

It is worth it when you have no active site and want turnkey handover, or when the exact factory colour is critical. It is not worth it when you are painting the walls anyway and the painter can finish the door in the same pass, in which case you effectively save the 897 RON.

Can I order Signature in any size?

Yes. Both models are made to order, in any size. Signature does not limit the dimensions compared to Minimal, the only difference being the factory-applied finish. You communicate the opening dimensions and the door is built exactly to them.
